To Whom It May Concern
re: James Hunter
Shiatsu Therapist
I have been receiving treatment from James since October 2003. Treatments began during a course of chemo- and radio-therapy I was undergoing for four months. I found that his treatments were extremely beneficial, greatly reducing stress, enhancing my state of well-being and generally helping me relax and maintain a positive mental attitude during what was for me a difficult time.
I found the treatments so beneficial that I have continued them until the present, and intend to continue to enjoy their benefits for many years to come.
I can thoroughly recommend James both personally and professionally and attest that he is a reliable, trustworthy person as well as an effective practitioner of Shiatsu.

RE : James Hunter
To Whom It May Concern:
Approximately 12 months ago I suffered a major back injury. In the early stages of the injury, I was treated by a Chiropractor. Slow progress was made and eventually I visited an Osteopath. Although I made some progress, again the injury never really ‘left me’. The conclusion both practitioners came to, was that I would need constant attention with no guarantees that it would heal.
I was then made aware of Shiatsu, more specifically James Hunter who practised this, and decided to ‘give it ago’, although sceptical in what I would achieve. After an initial consultation with James, I arranged my first visit. From that day I have never looked back. I am now in a position where I have limited back problems, and I am able to play the sports that I nearly had to give up.
I would also add that as well as healing the back injury, James (via Shiatsu), has also been able to overcome a number of sports injuries, specific to my groin and knee, which have constantly plagued me. In general, Shiatsu has been able to provide me with a sense of ‘well being’, which has helped me both socially and academically.

I'll admit I was a bit of a sceptic when it comes to this kind of thing, but now I'm a convert. The Shiatsu massages I've received from James have made me healthier, happier and sharper at work. And that's definitely something worth paying for.

The thoughts of pain and agony came flooding back after 6 months of hobbling around last year in shear pain and popping pills every four hours to try and ease the pain. Then along came the answer I tried Shiatsu massage and after only one session the benefits were starting to show, then two & three I couldn’t believe it no more pain my symptoms had gone and four months later I’m still pain free and all thanks to James Hunter.
Many Thanks Cheryl Sugden, busy housewife and mother of three
Although I didn't know what to expect from receiving shiatsu, I have been delighted with the calming, restorative and energising effects it has produced. As someone who has received many complementary therapies, I highly recommend this as another beneficial experience to those looking after their wellbeing.
Kind regards, Lynne
James Hunter and Shiatsu works (It really does)
For over two years I had real problems with my right shoulder. I saw specialists, had cat scans, MRI scans and many blood tests. Finally I was told I had three problems which were impingement, a dry joint and tendonitis in the shoulder. The result was that I had very little movement in my shoulder, I could not raise my arm above shoulder level, I could not put my hand behind my back, and I was in almost constant pain.
I was referred for sessions of physiotherapy, and took pain killers and anti-inflammatory drugs. I was told I should give up my sport of archery and find something else!!
My husband had received some Shiatsu sessions from James, which cured his long term back problem. I thought it might be beneficial for me to see James.
James explained to me that all of the muscles around the shoulder had 'seized up' so it would be like "peeling and onion" to undo this damage.
After about eight sessions I had full use of my shoulder and arm without restriction or pain.
It is some months now since I had the sessions of Shiatsu with James, and I still do not have the problems with my shoulder. I have even tried archery again, and had no pain or discomfort at all. Nothing short of a miracle I would say.
I have no hesitation to recommend James and Shiatsu to everyone I know, I have given his leaflets out, including some to my GP who is very impressed at my recovery.
